During June 8 to 11,2024, The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Society Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging  (SNMMI 2024) was held successfully in Toronto, Canada.

As the premier educational, scientific, research, and networking event in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, the SNMMI Annual Meeting provides physicians, technologists, pharmacists, laboratory professionals, and scientists with an in-depth view of the latest research and development in the field as well as providing insights into practical applications for the clinic. This year, th annual meeting has held more than 140 scientific conferences, including satellite seminars and other forms.

The 2024 SNMMI Annual Meeting begins with the official opening ceremony and welcome session, including introductory remarks from SNMMI President Helen R. Nadel, MD, FRCPC, FSNMMI, and SNMMI-TS President Dmitry D. Beyder, MPA, CNMT, with an overview of the Annual Meeting from Scientific Program Chair, Heather Jacene, MD and a presentation from Kgomotso Mokoala, PhD, on behalf of this year’s Highlight Country — South Africa.

Among all achievements presented this year, the most dazzling one is "A new ultra-high-performance brain PET system", which allows for the direct measurement of brain nuclei as never before seen or quantified. With its ultra-high sensitivity and resolution, it provides exceptional brain PET images and has the potential to spur advances in the treatment of many brain diseases. The grouping of images highlighting targeted tracer uptake in specific brain nuclei has been selected as the 2024 SNMMI Henry N. Wagner, Jr., Image of the Year.

At the satellite conferences arranged by the SNMMI, many well-known biotech companies have released their latest products and research results. With the booming development of radiopharmaceuticals, United Well is gradually growing into an emerging force in the nuclear medicine industry. In the next few years, we will focus on new generation radiopharmaceuticals. Furthermore, we have plan to establish international nuclear medicine imaging center and treatment center to promote the transformation of more innovative therapy into clinical practice.

With the continuous activity of the radiopharmaceutical market and the technological breakthroughs, it is conceivable that more novel diagnostic and treatment methods will spring up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, which will have a comprehensive and far-reaching impact on the existing medical pattern, so that people can enjoy better quality, more convenient and safer medical solutions.
