UnitedWell Goes to Singapore to Participate in the 2024ISMRM & ISMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition

2024 ISMRM & ISMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition was successfully held in Singapore from May 4 to 9,2024. Mr. Zhou Hanming, senior technical director of United Well, attended the meeting and communicated the cutting-edge technology development and research results in the field of magnetic resonance and medical applications with magnetic resonance researchers and medical experts from all over the world.

Founded in 1994, the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine is an international, nonprofit, scientific association whose purpose is to promote communication, research, development, and applications in the field of magnetic resonance in medicine and biology and other related topics and to develop and provide channels and facilities for continuing education in the field. Its multidisciplinary membership of over 8,000 consists of clinicians, physicists, engineers, biochemists, and technologists.

Prof. Zhou Hui from radiological department of Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, delivered a keynote speech entitled" Prognostic value of dark right ventricular blood pool sign on myocardial T2 mapping in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy ". It is proposed that cardiac magnetic resonance T2 mapping may be a simple method to help clinically quickly determine the prognosis of patients with expanding heart disease. The report attracted the interest of peers around the world and aroused a heated discussion. Participants gave unanimously recognized and praised the innovative and scientific nature of the research.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center of Xiamen University proposed a new method of multi-parameter simultaneous quantitative imaging through oral report. This method is based on the multi-overlapping echo separation imaging (MOLED) method collected by SSFP. It has the ability to accurately quantify multi-parameters simultaneously, and has the advantages of fast, accurate, distortion-free, artifact-free and self-registration.

The oral report of the Third People's Hospital of Nantong City proposed a model for the prediction of proliferative HCC based on LI-RADS v2018 to evaluate the treatment outcome of hepatectomy and systemic therapy.

Mr. Zhou Hanming said, " This year's meeting has maintained a consistent high international level, and it is more gratifying to see more researchers from China stand on the international stage to show our research results. Our scientific research topics originated from the clinical practice, both focusing on the new MR technology to solve the clinical problems, which has aroused the resonance and recognition of the global participants. I am honored to participate in this conference and have gained a lot. In the future, we will continue to be clinically oriented, based on the forefront of science, strengthen the practice and exploration with partners, and show our "hardcore" strength in the field of medical imaging.“
